Wednesday, 3 February 2010. I treated myself to some gorgeous Babylonglegs Radiance recently. I used it to knit a pair of longies for my Flowerpot Tots. Store and I used what was left to make myself a new scarf. I fell in love with woven stitch a while ago, I don't know why more people don't use it, I love the texture and drape it has, it is so easy to do and it looks that little bit different from normal crochet. Wednesday, 29 July 2009. Sari Silk Bag Pattern. I wrote this pattern a few years ago. I set up a knitting website called The Knitting Room but it never really got off the ground. I've long since closed the website but the pattern was linked on Ravelry. So I kept the file on my webspace. Monday, 20 April 2015. Magenta Tartan Granny Square Blanket. I love making granny square blankets but sometimes they look a bit old fashioned. I'd seen other people do tartan and plaid style blankets so I thought I'd give it a go myself. To make it look like tartan the trick is to use two main colours that produce another shade where the lines meet. Tuesday, 17 April 2012. I've written a novel! I'm not quite sure how it happened but I've written a novel. I know it sounds daft to have written a whole book by accident but that is how it happened. When my husband went away for a long weekend RC car racing in January I had an idea for a story so I started writing, and writing, and I didn't stop until I'd got about 93 thousand words! Monday, 4 August 2008. FREE Shorties and Longies Pattern. I've decided to share my DK shorties and Longies pattern with the world. I wrote it a few years ago and it's been through a few minor changes since then but it's very easy to do and it works. It's great for beginner knitters as it's knitted flat (no scary double pins or kitchener grafting! For each little hat sold they make a donation to Age UK. I enjoy knitting but my first love is crochet so I made up my own crochet pattern for hats and I thought I'd share it with you.
