The inspiration.canoe building in the 1970's. This method is still used in amateur boat and canoe building. However, the glass fibre and resin is now used to sheath the whole inside and outside of the vessel, giving the whole structure strength and protection. Now my grandson (nearly a teenager himself) and I plan to build a 14 foot catamaran in my back garden. In these pages we will document our progress over the coming months.
