Income generation | Mission Rwanda

And this is the term we will adopt. It is these people who are the focus of our work. We are working with churches and Christian organisations who themselves provide support for groups involved in income generating projects. Our function is to enable better support for these groups. Among these are the Free Evangelical Church, The Living Church and Solace Ministries. We also work with individual groups to assist them in finding appropriate funding, and to develop their own income generating activity.

Children | Mission Rwanda
https://missionrwanda.wordpress.com/front
There are a significant number of orphans in Rwanda. Those who lost their parents in the genocide are now in their late teens or early twenties. There are also orphans younger than this who have been abandoned by their parents either as babies or later as the strains of feeding a growing family take their toll. Many children have lost their parents to disease or AIDS which is common. We have been introduced to a group of young people called the Nyamirambo Youth Project. Lord of the Flies. If you feel led...

Laquo; Warming up – slowly. June 22, 2010 by Gavin. We have been taking a short rest from the blog while we get used to our new surroundings and throw off the various bugs and infections that seem to have traveled with us from Rwanda. Now that we are more accustomed to the bracing east wind we are starting to find our feet. And our feet have taken us into the depths of Leith where we have had occasion to wander. Laquo; A sad day. Warming up – slowly. May 29, 2010 by Gavin. This is a short post to let everyone know that we have arrived home safely, although we are a little confused at the moment as to just where home is. Donations | Mission Rwanda
https://missionrwanda.wordpress.com/donations
If you are able, please consider making a donation towards our work in Rwanda. We maintain three funds: for children, for income generation and for general support. Please remember that no amount is too small. At our youth project, a donation of 10 will provide a nourishing meal for a child each day for a month. A similar donation of 10 allows us to send a child to school with a uniform and equipment. If you prefer, you may donate to our general support costs which enables work to be done in Rwanda.

Prayer | Mission Rwanda
https://missionrwanda.wordpress.com/prayer
If you keep a prayer diary, please remember us in your quiet time. If you don’t, please remember us anyway. Please pray for the children we are trying to help, for their protection and nurture. Pray please, for our strength that we might find ways of being creative and useful among so much need. Pray for our various projects, that they might grow and produce fruit among those they are trying to help. Above all, please pray for a people who have nothing and are hungry, yet live their lives with dignity.
