I like words and probably you too. Mood Music: Subterranean Homesick Alien- Radiohead. It’s Spring Break, I have time, and I’m gonna post! This post, sadly, will not the great Messianic post that revives the blog. That will come later. March 9, 2012. 2 Comments to “Post”. August 25, 2012 at 3:45 PM. I miss your words. Camper Van | Semantic Romantic

I like words and probably you too. Mood Music: “Magic Bus”-The Who. You can’t read On the Road. Yearn for the itinerant life. Of course, even before reading it I possessed the strong desire to break free of the suburbs and to live wherever would support me. I suppose the notion is akin to a modern-day version of Walden. Though I can’t say that I’d get. Simple. Still, the idea of traversing America seems incredibly exhilarating, and most certainly romantic. But that’s just my daydream. The likel...Laquo; ...

Breathing Art Into the Suburbs | Semantic Romantic

I like words and probably you too. Breathing Art Into the Suburbs. Mood Music: “Little Boxes”- Malvina Reynolds. For all my years in the suburbs I’ve had a desire to build something beautiful. In a field, in a park, or in some public place. An unauthorized art installation that people couldn’t help but look at. The statement made could be anything, just as the materials could be anything, but the purpose would be this: to bring art into the suburbs. February 6, 2012. February 7, 2012 at 9:51 PM. Enter yo...

Apocalypse Fantasies | Semantic Romantic
https://semanticsromantic.wordpress.com/2012/02/17/apocalypse-fantasies
I like words and probably you too. Mood Music: “Brains”- Voltaire. Everybody thinks about zombies. At least, everyone has thought of zombies at least once in their lifetime. They’re cool, right? I mean, how else could one satisfy their urge to murder other humans aimlessly without moral conflict? This isn’t even half of my fantasies. My Dad buys a face shield to use with the weed-eater, I immediately think of its uses against the undead. And don’t get me. On the machete in the garage…. February 17, 2012.

The Artist, The Mall, The Haircut, The Sushi | Semantic Romantic

I like words and probably you too. The Artist, The Mall, The Haircut, The Sushi. Mood Music: “Pennies from Heaven”- Rose Murphy. Making a silent, black-and-white film in a world that expects nothing less than the deep, resounding BOMs of Inception. And the neon-lit streets of Tokyo Drift. Is a ballsy thing to do. Garnering three Golden Globe awards in such a market is even ballsier. Let me tell you, The Artist. And the woman completely disregards all requests and has at my head like she’s a lawnmow...

Want | Semantic Romantic
https://semanticsromantic.wordpress.com/2012/02/12/161
I like words and probably you too. Some of us want many things. Others desire only one. Many do not know what they desire, and may never know what they desire. They may find what they want, only to discover that it is false. They may blindly follow the wants of another, espousing those wants as their owns. They might buy a lie, or sell themselves to a cause. At the other end of the spectrum, there are those fixated passionately upon their desires. They may crave so badly that the want becomes a need.

The Food Spectrum | Semantic Romantic
https://semanticsromantic.wordpress.com/2012/02/13/foods
I like words and probably you too. Mood Music: “Food, Glorious Food”- Oliver! This weekend I took the opportunity to enjoy two vastly different culinary experiences: one at an African restaurant, the other at the Capital Grille. But which restaurant did I like best? That is to say, both presented a unique, completely opposite, and delicious experience, memorable for years to come. Give me a choice between fufu and truffle fries, and I’ll be torn; I’m married to both. February 13, 2012. Next Post ».

I like words and probably you too. January 29, 2012. Living in a Lie. Mood Music: Crippled Inside- John Lennon. One of types of people who upset me most are liars. Now, people who lie to others are bad enough, but I cannot tolerate people who lie to themselves. Whether they’ve been living a lie their whole life or they’ve just recently taken up lying to cope with living, lying to oneself does more harm than any other sort of self-injury. Some happiness to be found after life! To live in a lie? But that&#...
