Reluctant Homunculus: Jar Full of Awesome
http://reluctanthomunculus.blogspot.com/2013/01/jar-full-of-awesome.html
Tuesday, January 01, 2013. Jar Full of Awesome. Facing the reality that I am a lazy blogger and journal-keeper, we just started writing down memorable items and cramming them in a jar. New Year's Day seemed like a good time to review 2012's contents. Kinda makes the opening of the jar seem less spontaneous when you take a break to photograph the moment and edit the pic. Yet, here we are . . . Look at those lovely little memories spill out all non-staged-like. So casual, yet profound. Follow me, I'm FIVE!

Take one Yankee and one Southern girl.add a few kiddos. drop them in Minnesota. What do you get? Wednesday, December 28, 2011. When I get a package on my doorstep I know immediately if it was sent from Delight, Arkansas because it makes short work of a book of stamps. It's a good thing they don't have to lick stamps any more. Posted by Dave and Shannon. It's the Jewish holiday that's after my own heart.because the mood is festive and the food is fried. The Super Bowl has returned to Louisiana, and not a minute too soon. There are several people I know ha...

Sunday, September 16, 2012. Down By the River. Half a continent apart, my son and I both spent a day by the water. For me, it was the Red River, where people were paddling for a purpose at the dragon boat races. The Dragon Boat Festival is a major event presented to the community by The Rotary Club of Shreveport. Schwartz Stories: July 2011

Take one Yankee and one Southern girl.add a few kiddos. drop them in Minnesota. What do you get? Thursday, July 21, 2011. Jack keeps us busier than we ever thought possible. People frequently tell me when the baby sequel arrives that I'll be busy. I'm sure life will reach a new level of craziness, but until then we're busy enough running after a 16-month-old who never fails to make us laugh. E always runs with a smile to see me. That's the best. Posted by Dave and Shannon. Tuesday, July 19, 2011. I also ...

Take one Yankee and one Southern girl.add a few kiddos. drop them in Minnesota. What do you get? Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Evie at 5 months, okay barely 6. Getting the month-a-versaries pictures done has become a headache and a haunt- I missed month 4 and almost month 5 in my tech meltdown. I keep wondering if not having a month will haunt me in years to come when I'm assembling a baby memory book, but no matter. Here's Evie at month 5, well actually right at month 6 so I'll say 5 months grown.

Take one Yankee and one Southern girl.add a few kiddos. drop them in Minnesota. What do you get? Wednesday, September 14, 2011. I'm not sure if this baby is super stubborn and not wanting to be born or just being uber-polite and giving us plenty of family time before the big arrival. Either way, it's been a waiting game in the Schwartz household as baby continues to incubate past his or her due date. Posted by Dave and Shannon. Monday, September 5, 2011. A family on the verge.
