Zorklife: April 2009
http://zorklife.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 24, 2009. Kyveli is 1 month old! More photos - and an example of just how many photos we take of her - are here. Actually, she's already 6 weeks old but I'm lagging behind a bit. I hope you'll forgive me! What can I tell you about our little girl? Thank you for choosing us as your parents! It is an honor and a privilege to call myself your mommy! Since you don't like the carseat, the Moby wrap has been our savior. Thank you to Sarah for giving it to us, and to Teri and Sage for showing ...

Zorklife: Kyveli is 8 months old!
http://zorklife.blogspot.com/2009/11/kyveli-is-8-months-old.html
Sunday, November 8, 2009. Kyveli is 8 months old! Wow Just.wow. I'm in shock, I think. I'm sure this is getting really old since I say the equivalent in just about every monthly update, but how on earth do I have an 8-month-old? Soon this year will be over and January will be upon us, and then there will only be a couple more months to go until her *gasp* FIRST BIRTHDAY! I'm resisting the urge to begin planning now, but it just sounds like so much fun! First of all, big news! I mentioned last month?

Zorklife: Kyveli is 9 months old!
http://zorklife.blogspot.com/2009/12/kyveli-is-9-months-old.html
Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Kyveli is 9 months old! It's official - Kyva has now been an outside baby for as long as she spent as an inside baby! Kailen suggested throwing an "inside-outside" party to mark this important milestone, where all of the attendees would be required to wear their clothes inside out. Somehow the time got away from us and it didn't end up happening. Great idea though! Here are our favorite photos from your 9 month pics:. Welcome to your 9th month! L-R: Sahana, Jojo, Kyva). I menti...

Monday, April 26, 2010. Today my gorgeous big sister, Meghann, turns 30. She’s fit a lot of joy, love, experience, and accomplishment in her time on earth thus far (and she only had my help for the last 28 years! 160; I cannot wait to see what she does in the next 30! Love you, Bun! Posted by Brakes and Gas. Links to this post. Labels: Brakes and Gas. Friday, April 23, 2010. A 1991 Pontiac Grand Am LS. Or do we “retire” her before things get worse? Brakes & Gas: May 2010
http://brakesandgas.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Not up to Code! A couple of months ago your humble blogger was out back clipping blackberry bushes from our lower deck when one of the boards gave out and I fell to my demise 4 feet below. It was only four feet, but it could have been a lot further. So I had to ask myself how many people are going to have to fall through this deck before somebody does something about it? Note from Gas: Brakes thinks he's Holmes on Homes. And he does look pretty cute in his overalls). So after a cou...

Brakes & Gas: Ketchup (or Catch Up, you know I can’t resist a pun) and Other Garnishes
http://brakesandgas.blogspot.com/2011/09/ketchup-or-catch-up-you-know-i-cant.html
Saturday, September 10, 2011. Ketchup (or Catch Up, you know I can’t resist a pun) and Other Garnishes. 160; It has been awhile! When we last left off, Weezy was talking dirty in the shower, I was heavily laden with child, and Brakes was doing his best to survive in a house so full of estrogen. Now, there is even more estrogen (poor Brakes). On April 26th, we welcomed our little garnish, Miss Olive Beecroft! That’s right. There is no baby book. And when it was my turn to make an ...160; Information...

Brakes & Gas: An Olive Harvest (Eventually the food jokes will stop.) (Maybe.)
http://brakesandgas.blogspot.com/2011/10/olive-harvest-eventually-food-jokes.html
Tuesday, October 4, 2011. An Olive Harvest (Eventually the food jokes will stop.) (Maybe.). If your eyes have not succumbed to exhaustion or you have not “un-friended” me after my crazy, detailed pregnancy synopsis, feel free to read on and learn about Olive’s actual birth. FYI, it probably takes longer to read this synopsis than it did to actually give birth. Consider yourself warned. I got to say people, for me? 160; Maybe this is agonizing and I am just being. 160; Nice poop! 8221;), I would be rende...

Brakes & Gas: Olive Ripens (Very Long Pregnancy Synopsis)
http://brakesandgas.blogspot.com/2011/10/olive-ripens-very-long-pregnancy.html
Saturday, October 1, 2011. Olive Ripens (Very Long Pregnancy Synopsis). So as to uphold my side of the bargain. I will be publishing some posts detailing Olive’s pregnancy and birth for posterity’s sake. These posts will be pretty dense, as I wanted to chronicle in detail the events leading up to my sweet Olive’s arrival. They are not as entertaining as Eloise’s semi-famous birth story. 160; If you are nosy, have at it! The first week in January I was on my way to a student’s house when I felt a...

Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Nightstand and Other Important Updates. Our nightstand issues have been an ongoing saga on the blog. They first debuted in this post. Where I detailed how I effectively demolished mine in my new-baby-sleep-deprived state. We referenced them again here. When I lamented how Eloise loves to “reorganize” my nightstand and spread our. Brakes & Gas: Gas vs. Immersion Blender
http://brakesandgas.blogspot.com/2012/03/gas-vs-immersion-blender.html
Thursday, March 8, 2012. Gas vs. Immersion Blender. I apparently develop an annoying fifties-sitcom-mom persona when dealing with panic in front of my children. She quickly assured me. Never-mind that Olive was fine and that if she wasn't, hairspray would be the last thing she needed. I was still standing at the sink. Cussing. And crying. Once I commandeered back my phone, I called the doctor's office and spoke to the nurse practitioner. I was trying to determine if I needed to see a doctor:. Posted by B...
