Amber's Adventures: Breathing.....
http://ambermonforte.blogspot.com/2011/06/breathing.html
Thursday, June 16, 2011. The views on the Rim Trail are amazing! Bliks checking the view. It's going to be a long time before the trail is snow free. Warm enough to run in a skirt except for when I fell through the top layer of snow. Making dog snow angels. What a magical night. There was no one out on the trails. It was just me, my dog, and the wind. The sun went down and the full moon came up. It's an amazing experience just to sit on the side of a mountain in the dark. Love it! Bliks and the full moon.

Amber's Adventures: February 2011
http://ambermonforte.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. It's all about the dog. It's been a busy couple weeks for me. The new job started and it's great to be back working. and getting a paycheck! I moved out of the van and into a place of my very own. My mom packed up and is moving all the way to Greenville, SC. Plus the biggest storm of the year hit the Sierras meaning lots of rain on the California side and lots of snow on the Nevada side. Nighttime walk at nearly 9pm. With the recent snowfall it's still really light outside.

Amber's Adventures: I love summer!!!
http://ambermonforte.blogspot.com/2011/07/i-love-summer.html
Friday, July 15, 2011. I almost need a vacation from all the fun I've been having lately. My days off, despite the fact I get four of them, always seem to come to an end too quickly and back to work I go. Lots of early mornings hitting the road or the trail. Of July I got double lucky. I was already up early on the. At the gym when I got the call that I wasn't needed at work! But when I got to the turnoff in. I couldn't decided which way to go. I had never ridden to. Pass is a perfect gradual gradient.

Amber's Adventures: March 2011
http://ambermonforte.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. The day before the race was my dad's birthday, so pre-race dinner included lobster and tirimisu. and of course I had leftovers as breakfast race morning. Oh, and the ever present Girl Scout Cookies to top off the tank. Overall I really enjoyed the event despite it hurting much more than a 50K should. Plus it was a good wake up call to start a more organized training program. One mud pit ran through my leg sank up to my knee. They were white at the start. Way too Cool 50K. And th...

Amber's Adventures: February 2010

Monday, February 15, 2010. Stopping to Smell the Flowers. What a busy couple of weeks, but they've been packed full of all the things I like to do. The flight over here went smoothly, and it's great to be here with Conrad. Time seems to pass by so quickly at times. Unfortunately I have a fondness for shiny carbon fiber objects on 2 wheels. The rest of the rat race I can pass on, but I really enjoy being able to travel and have a nice bike or 2 or 3. BBQ at Conrad's house. The yummiest coffee ever! Curren...

http://ambermonforte.blogspot.com/2011/03/ditching-trainer.html
Sunday, March 6, 2011. Is one of my favorite places. If there was a hospital and swimming pool there I'd move in an instant. My dad's been there for about 10 years and I thought I'd explored the surrounding area. Little did I know that this weekend I would discover my new favorite ride. okay I have a bunch of favorite rides. Any day outside on my bike is a good day, but this weekend was exceptional. The road to Foresthill. Hanging with Dad, Mary and Amanda. I think Bliksem. Was off chasing the turkeys.

Amber's Adventures: November 2009
http://ambermonforte.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. Where does the time go? It's been a busy couple of months with lots of exciting times. The trip to Hawaii this October was amazing, and I wasn't as disappointed as I would have thought about not racing. I ended up doing the 10K trail run for fun and it was nice to not have to travel with a bike. Other crazy news is we should be closing on a house in the next 2 weeks! Keeping the fingers crossed for now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Where does the time g...
