The Online Temple of Chris Parkes. The musings and ramblings of an enthusiastic pilot and reluctant computer operator. Sunday, February 29, 2004. So, I've shaved off the beard and my face now feels hyper-sensitive and looks like a par-boiled potato. It took three razors and now instead of itching, it burns. That's all - go about your business, citizen, nothing to see here. Posted by Chris @ 7:42 pm. Thursday, February 26, 2004. Posted by Chris @ 9:46 pm. Wednesday, February 25, 2004. The Online Temple of Chris Parkes. The musings and ramblings of an enthusiastic pilot and reluctant computer operator. Saturday, January 31, 2004. I don't like basketball. Any sport that gives an advantage to genetic freaks should be banned. I've heard basketball described as 'chess at 100 miles an hour.' Rubbish. Ever hear chess described as 'basketball standing still? Posted by Chris @ 1:15 am. Friday, January 30, 2004. Posted by Chris @ 11:31 pm. Here I am on my way out at 0500. That's fifty cents up ...

The Online Temple of Chris Parkes. The musings and ramblings of an enthusiastic pilot and reluctant computer operator. Friday, November 28, 2003. Is she saying "look, I've had a knitting needle right through my freaking eyebrow, surely a tiny one in your forearm is no big deal." Is she boasting of her prowess in skewering human flesh? I guess you'd never get a tattoo from someone who didn't look like a human gregorys. I like to think so, anyway. In the dustbin of my mind. Posted by Chris @ 9:26 am. For t...

The Online Temple of Chris Parkes: July 2004

The Online Temple of Chris Parkes. The musings and ramblings of an enthusiastic pilot and reluctant computer operator. Wednesday, July 28, 2004. There's one thing that really irritates me about news reports of late - it's the use of 'that' as some explainer of an event. So and so is facing the judiciary after 'that' tackle, who-dad under fire after 'that' incident. Aren't you supposed to be telling me what the news is? Why do you presume I already know what the news is? I find it sloppy and confusing.

I have a friend who owns a motorcycle and doesn't want to bring it in to work. Why? Because it is too loud in the underground car park. I thought that was the point. If you don't like loud noise go buy a segway. Kind of reminds me of a scene from 'Attack of the Clones,' what? Posted by Chris @ 12:14 am. Tuesday, December 30, 2003.

Well, son, they grow on trees. Posted by Chris @ 4:54 pm. Monday, March 29, 2004. I'm watching a documentary about a workplace. The real pity about these shows is that the cameras alter the way people behave. Documentary film crew goes to management of ACME. Asks, "can we film your employees doing what they do? In case nobody told you, it is inadvisable to drink while blogging. You might end up offending family, friends or a loved one. This is my little contribution to the din of blogdom. I promise nothing. But it will soon be obvious as you read that I am the most intillegint person ever. Just remember, DON'T DRINK AND BLOG! Sunday, March 29, 2015. Visited New York. Stopped by the 9/11 memorial. Found Thomas Pedici on the list of names. Took a photo. I remember you Thomas. More later. View my complete profile.

As a writer, can you get a more severe critique than that? Oh, people are going to be wiping their arses on it. Well, either way, I get paid, right? Posted by Chris @ 10:14 pm. Posted by...
