Everyone arrived on time for us to pack and leave about 12:00pm on Monday, July 20th. Everyone brought their own checked bag and a carry-on bag. Then we all picked out a bag of donations that we adopted for the trip and that we were responsible for checking in at the airport. We were met by the bus company carrying this sign. Windsor Road Christian Church Peru Mission Trip 2009. Saturday, July 25, 2009. 3rd Day - Friday, July 24th. It was another busy day for the Peru missions team! One of the highlights of the day was the Fiestas Patrious - an independence celebration at the orphanage, featuring local foods, and kids dressed up in native costumes. Let's just say it was a bit lengthy if you don't know any Spanish. Then we went back to Trujillo for dinner at a Peruvian Chifa restaurant which is basically Chinese with a Peruvian twist.
