Library History - Walter T.A. Hansen Memorial Library

CALL US: (207) 429-9625. History of the Walter T.A. Hansen Memorial Library. We were incorporated in April 1938 and the following persons became the first elected to the Board of Trustees: A. O. Nutter, Pauline C. Hunter, E. A. Welch, Mary C. Grant, E. L. Morris and Cecil Irvine. The library is run by a Board of Trustees that are elected by vote from the town of Mars Hill. The representatives from the towns of Blaine and Bridgewater are appointed by their selectmen. 12:30pm – 5:30pm. 5:00pm – 8:00pm.

Memorial Books - Walter T.A. Hansen Memorial Library

CALL US: (207) 429-9625. Frequently family and friends ask what they can do to memorialize a deceased loved one. Giving to the library is a great way to do this. Many books, furniture, computers, and other things needed are purchased with memorial money. Name plates are placed on all items with the deceased name and date. School yearbooks, town reports, community organizations, histories, and more can be found in the Archives. The Mars Hill View newspaper is also available to see on microfilm.
