As I wait until time to go to the airport at 6:00 pm, I enjoy activities of the camp, say goodbye to the missionaries and their children. I know that I will come back to see them again. Monday, February 4, 2008. Tuesday is market day, and Sandi drives us for fruit and veggies, then we go shopping for Chile souveniers at Quatro Alto. Bernice bought watermelons this morning and Jimmie has arranged to share them with the kitchen staff which is a real treat for them. Nona tried salt on hers, but I do not think she liked it. I am sharing some really cute pictures of the children as they were playing house that they made from foam pads, big tire, and flags. It is absolutely beautiful.

Thursday, January 31, 2008. It has been a fabulous week. Many kids (probably 50) gave their testamonies this morning. Evan a young man going to the Bible Institute in March translated for me. These kids are just like the ones on the USA. They all have the same kinds of problems. Tito and Joann, Camp Directors, are about to start a staff meeting and get all the statistics, what to do better next week, guidance from Tito, etc. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Joy Still Adventures: 1/12/08 Saturday
http://tequeen.blogspot.com/2008/02/11208-saturday.html
Monday, February 4, 2008. Magaly drove Bernice and I to go shopping at the Lider (like our Wal-Mart) to buy water, snacks, and groceries. We also went to the mall to buy beads for fringing t-shirts in the girls class on Tuesday. The beads are expensive here and very limited in selection. At 6:00 pm, the kids are out of the pool, and this is the best time for us to enjoy swimming and the view. Almost every afternoon, there is at least one kite glider coming off this mountain.
