around the globe: Eden's first tooth....
http://globalgal1040.blogspot.com/2011/12/edens-first-tooth.html
A snapshot into our daily life in north-western China! Right before Christmas, Eden's first tooth came out. It had been wiggly for weeks, and it hung on forever. Finally we had her wiggle it 5 minutes each night, so that it would loosen quicker. In the end, daddy finally yanked it out - without any fuss! Eden was beaming with excitement, even though she was bleeding a lot! She didn't care at all. She loves the hole in her mouth and sticking her tongue thru. Her smile is so joyful! The one my soul loves.

A snapshot into our daily life in north-western China! Found this at one of our favorite outdoor restaurants the other night. This past weekend - we decided to cut the girls hairs! Its been getting hotter by the day which makes it more practical to go short! We are tempted to make this an annual tradition, though only time will tell. It sure takes me a long time to get it cut straight.but they love coming into Mommy's Salon. Asia's hair was so long.but she was excited for a big change! Our dad is so neat!

A snapshot into our daily life in north-western China! Our summers are sizzling hot, since we live in the desert! But we also live in a massive Chinese city - surrounded by concrete. Here are some glimpses of Summer life in our little corner of the globe:. Eden : sitting on our deck (8th floor) eating a nectarine. We have a tiny blow up pool that fits nicely on the deck - the girls love carrying buckets from the bathroom to fill it up. It takes forever, but it keeps us cool! Only 13 kuai per project!

A snapshot into our daily life in north-western China! It's not about presents, or glowing lights on the tree, or even family or yummy food. And even though its hard not to get homesick (or family-sick. I truly appreciate these foreign-land Christmases, where we can quiet ourselves and focus on the birth of our Savior, without all the hubbub, and just remember the humility, the scandal, the provision, and the beauty! May we increase your fame on this earth! We felt SO bad the next morning, that we had to...

We hosted a "premier" with little snacks, so all the parents could enjoy the end-product! It was really great! Lots of holiday baking happening around her too I even made some famous cinnamon rolls. To share with our neighbors. I think they love me more now. Someday, we will have a puppy for reals. :). Looky loo - search a topic!

http://globalgal1040.blogspot.com/2012/12/jesse-tree-part-2.html
A snapshot into our daily life in north-western China! Jesse Tree part 2. Christmas crafting has come and gone in this house, but its been a good 4 weeks of sewing and such with the girls. I attempted to make Jesse Tree ornaments. This year the girls each took turns reading during our evening family time, which makes it even more sweet. I love hearing them read aloud, and finding lessons we can learn from this rich Story! Anyhow, here are the most recent additions to our tree:. Rahab and the spies.
