Updated: February 11, 2015. The Molecular Structure Laboratory occupies room 2121 and 2143 on the second floor of the Shain Tower - the newest addition to the Chemistry Department. There is a Nikon SMZ-10A (49x) microscope with a polarizer for crystal selection. Single Crystal X-ray Structure Determination. The X-ray Facility in the Department of Chemistry. The Facility provides both powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) services and crystal and molecular structure determinations of small molecules by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The Facility serves the analytical research needs of the UWO community, other academic institutions, and commercial clients. The X-ray Facility is located in the Chemistry Building in room ChB12.
