Published on July 30, 2013. Greg Mahalick of Michigan, joined me today for a fun morning of fishing. We landed a couple of nice trout,a 4ft bonnethead shark and did a couple battles with some 40 inch snook! As the battle wore angler and fish down, the ol line-sider prevailed! The fish, after a 15 min tussel and peeling 80 yards of line out across the flats, he was finally 4 ft from the boat, turned and politely re-leased our hook and gracefully swam away! The last couple of weeks have been good, minus 2 slow days. this week already has been so much better. Trout, snook, reds, giant jacky channs and poons! Rex Harris and Gooze Abendroth joined me this morning for some non stop drag pealing. A dozen trout, 2 snook, a couple of reds, some GIANT Jacks 15 to 25 LBS and jumped 4 TARPOON! Thats a hell of a morning if I don’t say!
