K graduated from elementary school today. It was sad and exciting! I am not sure how we got here so fast, but now we await the next big adventure - middle school! Here are some pictures from the big event. K getting her diploma. Graduating Fall River Foxes. With Dr. Guthals. K also got an award for running 68 miles before school this year and for serving on Safety Patrol the past two years. K had two pieces of art selected for the district-wide art show. And one won a blue ribbon! We were very proud!

I’m almost never up before Noah on school days. In fact, most mornings he’s the one waking me with a gentle shake, fully dressed, breakfasted, and bookbagged, to kiss me goodbye before disappearing into the dark outside for the 6:45 am bus. Today though, I crept into his room while the house still slept, beating his 6 am alarm to its pre-dawn punch. Good morning, 10-year old. Happy birthday to you, kid. Happy birthday to us. I remembered thinking, like I’d only just learned the word two hours before.
