They are so thankful that God called them to come live and work with YFC in Selkirk. Ryan loves his job as Director. He wears many “hats” (not just cowboy) and has found the best part about being in youth ministry is seeing the youth grow into their fullest God-given potential! So what is YFC all about and what do we do here? Anything we had even remotely considered. The mission field (in my mind anyway) usually conjoured up images of hot third world countries. The truth is that God sees the whole world as a mission field. We just need to be ready to go where He wants us to go. Currently that mission field for us is Selkirk and the people we’re called to reach are youth. We are excited about the things God has in store for this ministry! History of Youth for Christ.

Likes: riding horses and motorcycles, flying in any kind of airplane, learning how to operate new gadgets, drinking good coffee, playing with fire (literally), and playing with his kids. Let’s hope he doesn’t ever combine those last two…. Dislikes: early mornings, walking when you can drive, and no access to electrical outlets. Somehow, despite all this, he still loves camping. Sunday, August 17, 2008. After biking our final 90 miles on a glorious, beautiful Maine day, our team sailed into Bar Harbor Friday on the heals of a police escort, greeted by family members, friends, and locals alike at the town pier. Over 4,000 miles from Washington to Maine; countless opportunities. Groups, our own family and friends; wonderful host families and churches; potlucks, picnics, getting up at 5 am day after day and plenty of sore muscles and tushes- we made it. Our team was extraordinary.
