Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Green Holiday tip #2. I'm trying to have a green holiday season this year, and . I just wish I knew someone who needs a new trash can! This one is made 99% of recycled tires. But as 8yo pointed out, "What are you going to to WASTE one of the trash cans we already have so you can buy a sustainable one? Anyone need a sustainable trash can. December 20, 2007 at 3:24 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. I am Emily X. Mock, Paper, Scissors.

Beautiful Day Rule: The Story of Stuff
http://beautifuldayrule.blogspot.com/2007/12/story-of-stuff.html
Friday, December 21, 2007. The Story of Stuff. It's in seven installments, which come up automatically when chapter one finishes. All together it takes 20 minutes, but I think it's worth it. Watch the first two chapters and then decide for yourself. Warning: you might never go to a big box discount store again after watching it. But that would be OK, I think. .unless it's to purchase LED Christmas lights, that is. It's funny; I just came across (and posted about) this too! December 22, 2007 at 10:03 PM.

Sometimes you have to reboot | The Year of Living Vigorously

The Year of Living Vigorously. Vigorous: growing well, as a plant. Sometimes you have to reboot. April 24, 2013. I’ve been on a pretty lengthy hiatus from blogging. Sadly, I find myself neither reading them nor writing them. It’s not been a conscious decision to stop — my own inspiration for creating just sort of fizzled, and my time for reading what others are saying all but disappeared. Possibly. Or not. That’s kinda the point: who knows? This entry was tagged life reboot. The Year of Living Vigorously.

The Year of Living Vigorously. Vigorous: growing well, as a plant. The one about the coffeemaker. May 18, 2013. An aside, but an important one, is that I then planned to grab a cup of coffee somewhere on the way to work but traffic was bad and I got in late as it was. So I had resigned myself to a sleepy, headachy morning when one of my colleagues appeared in my doorway and asked “Do you like iced coffee? 8221; Angel of mercy. Starbucks had gotten her order wrong and gave her an extra — large! You know, ...

The Year of Living Vigorously. Vigorous: growing well, as a plant. You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. May 20, 2013. Or to know if it’s going to rain all day, apparently. Try to plan a camping and kayaking trip for May. I was. Close to pulling it off, and then the potential campers began to dwindle for various family and work commitments. And then the weather forecast. Ugh. Sometimes I really hate doing the responsible thing. But you know who this worked out really well for?

The Year of Living Vigorously. Vigorous: growing well, as a plant. May 25, 2013. I went to a conference this week on the other side of town. To get there, my choice was to go all the way around town on the beltway or cut straight through the city. I’m so glad I chose to cut through. Would I want to be there late at night? No Was it safe in the middle of the day? Totally. And the sights and sounds I would have missed if I’d taken the beltway. The colors. The faces. One face in particular made my day.

Beautiful Day Rule: Road Trip
http://beautifuldayrule.blogspot.com/2008/02/road-trip.html
Sunday, February 3, 2008. Thought I might have given up the blog,. I've been working on a community project to fight climate change, and I've been so busy with it, I haven't spent enough time enjoying the very planet I'm helping to save. Except for this recent road trip down Highway 1, through Big Sur. So big; so powerful; what a planet! Wow, what a beautiful photograph! February 3, 2008 at 11:29 PM. February 8, 2008 at 4:25 PM.
