Wawona Dome
Wawana Dome is easily visible on the hillside above the hamlet of Wawona, at the south end of Yosemite National Park. South and West facing, and sitting at 6000’, Wawona Dome offers great face and crack climbing nearly year round. 700’(6 pitches) at it’s longest, Wo Dome can be sunny and warm in the winter and gets morning shade in the summer. Wawona offers a National Park Service campground. And the historic Wawona Hotel. 1st Pitch of Blue Moon.

How the park is changing. How technology is bieng used to preserve the park. IN 1890 Yosemite was declared a national park for its granite cliffs, waterfalls, sequoias groves and the animals that live there. Yosemite is in central California and has almost 4 million visitors a year. Josiah Whitney and John Muir had large a disagreement on how the park was formed. Josiah thought that it was created by faulting, while John thought that it was formed by glaciers. But John was right. Create a free website.
