Seat By The Window, Please (Part II): Non Parle: Not your average communication barrier
http://www.theroamingyoshi.com/2012/06/non-parle-not-your-average.html
Saturday, June 23, 2012. Non Parle: Not your average communication barrier. It's always interesting—adapting to a culture, living in a completely new place, and not being able to speak the language. It makes travel interesting, and makes me appreciate the often overlooked conveniences of home. But this time is a bit rediculous. Not only do I NOT speak the language, but which one should I be pretending to know? Next Tuesday will mark three weeks on the road. It's been a crazy time. I have loads of...As fo...

Seat By The Window, Please (Part II): And then, for the first time in 3 weeks, it rained.
http://www.theroamingyoshi.com/2012/07/and-then-for-first-time-in-3-weeks-it.html
Sunday, July 1, 2012. And then, for the first time in 3 weeks, it rained. Do you know the scene from The Parent Trap? Where the dad (Dennis Quaid) and Hallie leave.in the rain? With Cole Porter/Ray Charles' "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" playing in the background? Yep That's the one. That's what it felt like. Today, I said goodbye to Céret, to the B&B, and to two of the coolest ladies ever. Have I mentioned that I love this city? Posted by Roaming Yoshi. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Seat By The Window, Please (Part II): Sweep, swim, repeat
http://www.theroamingyoshi.com/2012/06/sweep-swim-repeat.html
Thursday, June 28, 2012. Sweep, swim, repeat. It's hard tell from previous posts, but I'd like to take this time to say that I'm actually doing some work here— i.e. mopping, scrubbing, and lots of outdoor sweeping. Photographic evidence of me completing said tasks is non-existent; but rest assured, that behind these lovely photos is at least a couple of hours of hard labor. Posted by Roaming Yoshi. Friday, June 29, 2012. Weak at the knees for this city. I could (and still probably will) ramble on about the art and the culture. and the cherries and the bulls. But nothing does this city justice; this statement is cliché but with Céret, you just have to experience it for yourself. And if you do visit, I know the best place to stay. *wink* *grin*). Seat By The Window, Please (Part II): Meet Céret
http://www.theroamingyoshi.com/2012/06/meet-ceret.html
Tuesday, June 19, 2012. After work for the day was done (which consisted of picking large stones from the river to line the driveway, and cleaning the B&B sign) we walked down the mountain to Céret. I wandered down the streets, sticking mainly to those with water running down their curbs. Because of these, the whole town feels like one big soothing "natures sounds" water fountain. I've included some photos (again, not in order) of both the B&B, and Céret. Posted by Roaming Yoshi. View my complete profile.
