GO TO TOGO: Through the Cultural Looking Glass
http://kfabertogo.blogspot.com/2015/06/through-cultural-looking-glass.html
Using medical missions to reach the unreached and love the unloved in the name of Christ. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Through the Cultural Looking Glass. It is often strange living far away from American culture and life because you soon realize that your daily interests soon become that of the country you are currently living in,. Not the country you came from. What has become more and more evident is how each culture defines freedom, rights, hatred, laws, social norms, and sin. But when I compared our count...

Isaac was sad that he did not get to see it in person, but it hopped away soon after the photo. Ben is getting big. He is a little over 4 months old and is already 17.5 pounds. He loves to eat. Isaac is really doing great as a big brother and it is easy to see how much he loves Ben. Chuck, Angela, Isaac, and Ben Barrier. So Long Our Friends.

The Barriers at Mbingo Baptist Hospital. Cameroon, West Africa. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. This picture is from 1957. There was one building for the hospital and a few houses for the staff. There were also some houses for the long-term care of leprosy patients. But mostly there was a lot of open land. We recently heard about this thing called "Dinovember". Basically, each night of this month Isaac's plastic dinosaurs do some activity and he sees it in the morning. This picture shows them reading...Ben i...

The Barriers at Mbingo Baptist Hospital: March 2014
http://thebarriersincameroon.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
The Barriers at Mbingo Baptist Hospital. Cameroon, West Africa. Sunday, March 2, 2014. It is easy to feel disconnected living so far away from family and friends. We are thankful for the friends we have here, but we are also thankful for the way the internet allows us to stay connected to our family and friends in the US. That being said, we often have problems with our internet here at Mbingo, but we have recently had some help to improve things. It was an incredible trip. Chuck's father, Charlie, is a ...

The Barriers at Mbingo Baptist Hospital. Cameroon, West Africa. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. It is hard to believe that we have been at Mbingo for over 2 years and we are getting ready to move back to the United States. As we mentioned before, we are moving to Charlotte, NC. Mbingo has become our home over these 2 years and it will be tough to leave. However, Cameroonians do know how to do a proper goodbye with multiple parties and multiple outfits. It is also amazing to see how much Isaac has grown at Mbi...

The Barriers at Mbingo Baptist Hospital: Partnerships
http://thebarriersincameroon.blogspot.com/2014/04/partnerships.html
The Barriers at Mbingo Baptist Hospital. Cameroon, West Africa. Thursday, April 3, 2014. We have recently had the chance to work together with people from different hospitals in Cameroon, Kenya, and the USA. We wanted to share some of those experiences. They have sacrificed through the years in giving their time and energy to caring for patients and Mbingo is certainly a better place because of it. This picture shows some of the local kids in their school uniforms on their way home after school. They...
