The Jewish Museum of Maryland: September 2010
http://jewishmuseummd.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
The Jewish Museum of Maryland. Goings ons at the JMM. Thursday, September 30, 2010. A blog post by archivist and curatorial assistant Jennifer Vess. Is summer we had, I think, the most archives interns we’ve ever had at one time. Three (Kristin, Brittney, and Melina) and all of them dedicated to processing the Baltimore Hebrew University archives. They’re all gone now, back to their normal lives, but the work her at the JMM does not stop. Jobi and Kim weeding on-site at BHU. Kristen’s tidy workspace.

http://keepersofstuff.blogspot.com/2010/04/representing-culture.html
Blogging on museums, experience, education, and general thoughts on life. Basically rambling to myself. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. I'm currently at a museum with no collection. We don't have artifacts, we don't have objects. But, I'm running into major issues with cultural representation. How do you represent a culture honestly, without inadvertently reinforcing stereotypes? But back to Africa. What do you all think? Does a thatched roof drive the choice toward a rural/tribal home? That helps SO MUCH!

The Secret Curator: Vacancy: museum curator, superpowers required
http://secretcurator.blogspot.com/2010/08/vacancy-museum-curator-superpowers.html
Thursday, 12 August 2010. Vacancy: museum curator, superpowers required. I said I would write about my experiences learning to be a curator – well lesson one is I don’t have enough hours in a day, how did I think I would find even more time to write a blog? But, finally I’ve got a few minutes spare…. What would be an ideal state of disarray for the collection? Maybe time travel isn't for me - perhaps I'll settle for a miraculously shortened commute instead, so do I go with flying or teleporting? Singing ...
