In twelve days I will be living it up in Kissimmee, playing with my Lilyfriend every day and also taking her to her toddler's ballet class where I can live vicariously through her tutus and top knots. I may have been born and raised in the Utah Valley, but if you ask, I'll tell you I'm a southern girl; I claim the east coast as my proper home. I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina when I was fifteen years old and I attribute much of who I am today to the experiences I had in the Southeast. Carolina simply can't be beat. The diversity! Somehow we started talking about how many days we'd been alive. because we thought it was funny that we measure age in years but never bring up the days. so I looked up how many days old we were. I was 6742 days old, he was 6502. He died when he was 6503 days old. A year ago today Jonny took his life, I wrote about it. Instead of feeling sorrow on this the anniversary of the day we lost him, I like to dwell on the memories I shared with him.
