What i was thankful for yesterday, celebrating thanksgiving in honduras, for the 4th (? Thanks.for the beautifully chilly night, making for a comfortable walk down to the front gate, en route for Tegucigalpa. Thanks.to the bus driver that nearly threw me on my face (repeatedly) as i was getting on (there was a woman sitting right in the middle of the aisle on a huge bucket, not concerned about the fact that it made it nearly impossible for anybody to get by her). Thanks.for the precious little men th...

Friday, February 27, 2015. My team at work is finishing up reading and discussing Reconcile: Conflict Transformation For Ordinary Christians. By John Paul Lederach. What a necessary book for me to read in a world so torn apart by conflict. Toward the end of the book, Ledrach references Ephesians 2:13-16, and talks about a new humanity through Christ. From the perspective of God's purpose, the example of Christ Jesus is clear. It is not possible to pursue reconciliation except through people who risk ...

Thursday, April 30, 2015. I recently finished the book Living without Enemies: Being Present in the Midst of Violence,. Written by Marcia A. Owen and Samuel Wells. In the recent rash of gun violence in Waterloo, and on the heels of both peaceful and violent protests across the country, this has been a timely read. Offers profound insights into what it takes to overcome powerlessness, transcend fear and engage in radical acceptance in our dangerous world.". Sunday, April 12, 2015. Thanks to David for givi...

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you’ll land among the stars.". Anyways - to the point. Difficult decisions have come upon me over these past couple of days, and we all know how amazing I am at making decisions. Well, I finally just came up with a solution to this little dilemma, set the wheels in motion, then strolled into the kitchen to make lunch. As I threw together the fixings for a salad, I noticed the end of the tomato I had pulled from the fridge. April 21, 2011 at 11:54 PM. Me and my boys.

What says spring better than a juicy fruit? I seem to be on a kick of blogging about sphere-shaped fruits. well this time it's not so much about the fruit itself, but the life-altering tool i have used for years to access the sweetness that awaits inside this fruit. my mother is a Pampered Chef consultant. And loves supplying her children with her favorite kitchen gadgets. including this one. I have always loved to eat oranges, but before this " Citrus Peeler. Do i sound like i'm on a commercial?
