Short Week (Monday morning to Friday morning). Long Week (Saturday pm to Saturday am). If you make more than one booking at the same time we offer special discounts. Please ring us for more details. Challenge Walk

The centre offers a thirty mile circular challenge walk, which is open to residents or walkers within the area. Sounds easy -. Thirty miles in twelve hours -. But do not underestimate this challenge which involves over 1800 metres of ascent. This route combines the North Berwyn Way and the Dee Valley way together as one walk. On receipt of a £5.00 Entry fee, we will send you a code for the outbuilding, clocking-. And will invoice you and send you the card and combination for the lock.

Camping Area

As well as the Centre and Cottage we also have a camping area which has its own shower, wash hand basins and toilet. Use of this area is suitable for small parties and especially expedition groups looking for a one night stay. The camping area is charged as follows. Per person per night. Two or more nights. Ctivities at the Centre. Set in the Borderlands of Wales, there are a number of excellent natural activities for you to plan an exciting and challenging outdoor experience. Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid) is only 10 miles north of the centre, which offers excellent water sport activities. The centre itself has canoes for hire, which can either be transported to Bala Lake, or used on a lake within five minutes of Cynwyd, negotiated for our specific use. Award Scheme Expeditions

For members of the Scout Association we offer Duke of Edinburgh award scheme expedition packages. Qualifying Expeditions allow for accommodation on the first night within the Centre. We allow for supper on arrival at the centre and breakfast on the first morning of the expedition plus accommodation and food for adults who supervise the team. No transport is allowed with any expedition. Teams will need to attend with at least one adult who will act as the teams Supervisor for the duration of the expedition.

Ty Mawr country park which is about 30 minutes from the centre has all the fun of the farm in the magnificent setting of the River Dee Valley.
