H. Collins Senior Secondary School in Whitehorse, Yukon. He created the Young Authors’ Conference to be the local cornerstone of the Canada-wide National Writers’ Festival which began in 1979. Prepare an original print manuscript in any of the following genres: poetry, fiction, drama, creative non-fiction or a children’s story. Students may work individually, or in pairs (author and illustrator for example on a children’s story). Manuscripts must be written during the current school year.
