Saturday, 21 July 2012. Last weekend myself ( Yvonne. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day and the group embraced the challenge and captured some really great shots. Here are some of them in action! After a quick lunch break I showed the group how to process their images using a range of photography apps and Dan worked with them to create pieces of writing inspired by their images. Sunday, 29 April 2012. King Canvases at Gallions School. Friday saw a fantastic session of frenzied drawing activity with the 'Hip-Hop' class at Gallions school. The children were fantastic and worked through a number of drawing activities before each of them created a mini canvas painting. It is hoped that the canvases will be displayed alongside the work of pupils from Birdwell Primary School as part of the 154 exhibition which opens at the Cooper Gallery, Barnsley in June. Sunday, 15 December 2013. Thanks To Canal Connections. I was in a bit of a jam. I needed help as Rudolph was a bit off colour. Canal Connections offered me a lift on one of their boats. They picked me up at Granary Wharf at the back of Leeds railway station on one of their boats. Could this be true! I was in the middle of Leeds. This was the culmination of some hard work by a small dedicated group of people which was designed to showcase the value of community boating, generate discussion about the future and build on the successful conferences of the past.
