Reflective Journal PGCHE O7 -08. Sunday, 14 September 2008. Jamie is delighted to have another convert but it's early days yet. I've attempted to mindmap my planning for my module 4 project,Costume and ICT elements. Hopefully no one will be looking at this,my blog having virtual tumbleweed rolling across the screen on a regular basis,so I can display my nascent mapping skills without fear of ridicule.(yes.that does happen! Wednesday, 3 September 2008. There's just not enough time to address the re writin...

Reflective Journal PGCHE O7 -08. Wednesday, 14 May 2008. I thought I'd manage to avoid an 'essay ' blog by breaking up the responses (. Gagne ) into a series of shorter posts but I'm running out of time and experiencing a deficit of energy. Apologies, this may be a long one. I assess a number and variety of aspects of both the old and new course. As briefly as possible ;. Nd year costume classes (final rotation of these was last term). Nd and 3rd year Costume electives. Format by the student. In construct...

Reflective Journal PGCHE O7 -08. Wednesday, 27 February 2008. Being part of the general malaise. Thursday, 21 February 2008. Can I take it back? My weekly blog challenge. I believe I give students feedback in both informal and formal ways that have been successful in informing and engaging them in assessing and...

Reflective Journal PGCHE O7 -08. Tuesday, 11 November 2008. This is one of the maps created in today's class by one of the 1st year groups. Today was the fourth (and final) 'day 1' session and it seemed to me to be (like this map) the best yet. The map drawing is part of the brainstorming session.the journey from page (costume design) to stage. This one probably needs a key to be fully understood but even without the explanations presented by the group who created it the 'directions ' are obvious.

Reflective Journal PGCHE O7 -08. Saturday, 22 November 2008. This post is veering off the. Content for module 4 ,but I'm thinking - I'm almost there - and feel like allowing myself a little blogging self indulgence. So I know I am talking to myself.certifiable behaviour in other circumstances. While reflecting on attempting to analyse my reflections of the past 15 months I think this a pertinent point. Who was/am I speaking to? In recent weeks I've also become something of a proponent of blogging in my c...

Reflective Journal PGCHE O7 -08. Wednesday, 30 April 2008. As the reluctant mer rep for our group I have the opportunity tomorrow to present a selection of critical points and some small praise re. the pgcert programme. It strikes me that almost all of the criticism being levied at the programme is directly comparable to the self criticism I have been applying to the assessment/feedback criteria of the modules I am involved in writing, co- ordinating and delivering. Labels: Assessment (part 2). Within th...
