Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: Sequestered - The upside of isolation
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2013/02/sequestered.html
Friday, February 8, 2013. Sequestered - The upside of isolation. Well, that last post was ridiculous, but suggests that I am not really that. About racing my bike as of yet. I am staying in shape, but currently pre-occupied with developing my group fitness instruction expertise and finishing up my master's degree. Part of it has to do with being isolated. So, I am sequestering. Sat Feb 09, 09:37:00 AM CST. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Muscatine Independent Film Festival. Monday 08.22.16. Tour of A...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: January 2013

Thursday, January 24, 2013. Backed Up on the Porcelain Podium. Are you still reading? It is fine, if you stop, but that would be odd, because you have made it this far, and I might have something useful to say about bowel movements. A 'podium trophy' of a different sort. Yes, I know "weight is just a number". well, a lot of things are 'just numbers' and they are very useful data within the world of science and technological advancement. So, should my fecal matter count as my 'weight'? Of course. Are ...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: Black Diamond Time Trial
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2012/07/black-diamond-time-trial.html
Monday, July 2, 2012. Black Diamond Time Trial. I had a rewarding experience at the third and final edition of the Black Diamond Time Trial, near Iowa City on Sunday. My results haven't been particularlly noteworthy in events that require the cooperation of the other competitors, so I decided to get back to some familiar ground, by racing against one of the most cooperative people I know. my self. This sort of sums up my racing situation and motivations. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). American Equit...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: December 2012
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 17, 2012. Life without bike racing. Isn't so bad. I wondered how I would fill my time if I wasn't involved in competitive athletics, and now I am happy to report that I have found plenty of new ways to occupy my time. Sometimes I think about guys I used to race with that seem to just 'disappear'. At some point, people decide not to race their bikes, and they move on to something else, it really isn't a sad turn of events, just a natural developmental progression. I can't wait to read my ...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: August Racing... the drought is over.
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2012/08/august-racing-drought-is-over.html
Wednesday, August 1, 2012. August Racing. the drought is over. So onward, as I look forward to the Iowa State Time Trial, Road Race, and Team Time Trial. Unfortunately, the East Village Critierium is the day before the State Time Trial. Matias Perret has already won the Criterium jersey, but there are three more left to be awarded. After that is the 97 mile State Road Race. I have been wanting to race a Team Time Trial. A little smack talk, deal with it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I race bikes f...

Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: Spring Season Existential Angst
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2013/02/spring-season-existential-agnst.html
Thursday, February 28, 2013. Spring Season Existential Angst. Ok, it has begun. I didn't enter the race, and had already arranged a weekend getaway that day to make sure I didn't succumb to my past bike-related obsessions. Mission accomplished, as the race registration is closed. So, no Kent Park for me this year. that is going to be 'different'. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Muscatine Independent Film Festival. Chad Bishop...Chasing Life: 2012 State Gravel Championships
http://chadbishop.blogspot.com/2012/09/2012-state-gravel-championships.html
Sunday, September 9, 2012. 2012 State Gravel Championships. I enjoyed a rewarding experience as I defended my title at the 2012 State Gravel Championships. I have no particular skill set or appreciation for gravel racing, but I really can't resist entering in races that are close to home and will feature smaller (personal) battles. I thoroughly enjoy races that test my personal capabilities and use them to motivate and/or guide my workouts, while extending my enjoyment of maintaining my fitness. I was so...
