A Blogfull of Tales. A visit to Oman. January 6, 2014. When people heard that we were flying to Oman they thought we were mad! Why don’t you just drive, it’s so close. We live very near to the border with Oman. When we do our weekly shopping at the hypermarket we can see the fence that divides the two countries lined with great big land rovers waiting to cross the border. The rugged mountains just across the border are visible from our side of the fence. We took the long route! Filed under Life writing.
