Sewin' in the Rain: De-peared: Sewaholic Renfrew Tops Galore
http://sewinintherain.blogspot.com/2012/01/de-peared-sewaholic-renfrew-tops-galore.html
Sunday, January 29, 2012. De-peared: Sewaholic Renfrew Tops Galore. This is my first post coming to you live from New York. It's good to be back in the city, but it's been a busy few weeks! I'm battling a cold right now, but I wanted to take the time to share 3 tops I made in December; they were all made using the brand new Renfrew pattern. I was lucky enough to be selected as a pattern tester for this top and I wanted to end 2011 with a bang by sewing up all 3 versions. This one's too tight. I think I c...

Chibisan Knits: AE Week #3
http://chibisanknits.blogspot.com/2012/10/ae-week-3.html
Knitting.Just Do It. Saturday, October 06, 2012. Already I have failed to make much progress on this. I'm still on the light fushia round. I just felt like finishing something else. And finish it, I did! This is the Small Talk shawl available on Rav. The pattern is great with no errors, and I found it very enjoyable to work on. Believe it or not, I did it with $1.00 yarn from Big Lots. I call the colorway Camo. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. By gum, by golly! New Dress A Day.

LaurenSmash: Finished
http://laurensmash.blogspot.com/2013/03/finished.html
Sunday, March 3, 2013. I am a knitting fool right now. I feel like I have a lot of unfinished sewing stuff, and it is all in various states, but when I come home from work, all I want to do is pick up those needles! This is the $5 in Paris sweater. Here is my ravelry link. I am going to now start on the Agatha. By Andi Suterland. I saw Lladybird's. And I love it. So I am starting that today! In other finished news, I did finish my first Jasmine. Pattern by Colette, and I love it! But life is good, my hus...

LaurenSmash: completed and working
http://laurensmash.blogspot.com/2012/10/completed-and-working.html
Saturday, October 13, 2012. I have been working a lot! I finished New Look 6145. It was pretty easy, there were a few weird directions, and I only consider myself to be a beginner/intermediate sewer so it could be that I just didn't understand why they wanted me to do something, so a couple times I just did my own thing. I like how it came out. I am also working on the $5 in Paris sweater. Here is the Ravelry Link. What issue did you have with the pattern? I am about to make that one too. By Gum, By Golly.

SewLindyLou: Pattern Friday–an occasional series
http://sewlindylou.blogspot.com/2015/07/pattern-fridayan-occasional-series.html
Friday, 10 July 2015. Pattern Friday–an occasional series. As you know, I have been collecting vintage dressmaking patterns and thought I would highlight one or two of my favourites in an occasional series. First is the ‘Greet the Spring’ dress, a 1950s/60sdress pattern produced by Woman’s Realm. Imagine my delight when checking this pattern for completeness that I came across the original magazine article about this dress! The article says that it has been made from the ‘new drip-dry cotton’...Along wit...

August Morning: Go Home Cupcake, You're Drunk...
http://augustmorning.blogspot.com/2014/06/go-home-cupcake-youre-drunk.html
Go Home Cupcake, You're Drunk. Posted by Kristin on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Who could resist the magic of these cupcakes? Not me.so I gathered all my ingredients and set to work. 1 Wrap cake cones in foil and carefully place them into muffin tins. 2 Fill about 1/2 full of cake batter (get whatever is on sale). When you have leftover batter, go through and even them all up. It just means more cake, right? 3 Bake as directed on box. 4 Continue to bake because your oven only works in the back. 13 Fill las...

August Morning: May 2014
http://augustmorning.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Posted by Kristin on Sunday, May 4, 2014. April 28th kicked off imagine gnats' "Selfish Sewing Week." I should not have participated since I can never finish anything in a week and all of my sewing is technically selfish. But I decided to try to sew something anyway. I also thought a simple shift would work best with this pattern, I wanted to leave most of it intact. It has birds! It had to stay all birdy. And I put cardigans over EVERYTHING! My previous three Laurels were all cut the same, size 16 in th...
