Shockingly easy (for the most part). When I bought my BMW a long time ago, it came with a set of chrome Koni shocks with red powder-coated springs. Like Lester wheels, Konis were one of those go-to aftermarket modifications seemingly everyone made. But after 30 years, mine were getting tired. One of them let me know by puking oil all over itself, as seen in the picture below. That shot on the left? There's a chrome damper under all that black dirt. Triumph TT600 Service

Triumph TT600 Stator replacement. I covered some of the electrical gremlins endemic to modern Triumphs HERE. First, remove the seat, disconnect the battery and remove any bodywork that's in the way. This will give you a good view of the stator cover on the left side of the engine. It is held on in typical British fashion by a bunch of bolts (8mm, in this case). 1 Fuel pump connector. 2 Fuel line (marked with tape, connects to the inlet marked red). 4 Connector between the stator and regulator/rectifier.

Part 3: Make it stop! Who does this sort of thing? It took a lot of work to get that off, and the red never did completely go away. But the squeal was a more serious problem, and it needed new pads anyway. A good cleaning, some caliper grease (yes, there is such a thing; no, you should not put it on the pads or disk) and they should be alright. Or so I thought. And since they'll be completely apart, it would be a good time to paint 'em, since the old colour had faded and that stupid red will not go away.
