This was pretty good scenery sailing right by cliffs. I did manage to get the jib up a bit later. My wife (with camera in hand) met me at a pier down the beach a bit and we spent a pleasant couple of hours irritating the local kids' sailing club. Monday, October 8, 2007. Last Sail of the Seaon. We arrived in Sandusky early Saturday morning. My marina. After we got back, I did notice some boats moving a bit out there and thought, "well if nothing else we'll fire up the Tohatsu and motor around a bit.". Cool, consistent wind! Replace incandescent lights with LED (except nav lights). Strip the tiller and repaint. Build new locker doors (old ones are rotting). Repaint deck and nonskid. Saturday, November 3, 2007. Now it was time for the fun part. The lift came back for the hull. They manuvered into position and hooked up the straps. With the throw of a lever and the revving of the diesel engine the hull was lifted in the water. Her blue bottompaint was brown with slime. After she was clear of the well, over she went for a bath. Monday, June 25, 2007. The motor seems to be runing much better! We took the boat to Cowan this weekend and did some extended motoring. It did stall once, but this was after a long run at full throttle (I think I ran it a bit too hard and it overheated). Looks like the fuel mix and the gas cap were the culprits! Yep, the motor was MUCH better than the past few times. Now we just need to get some better winds! I'm up for exploring another lake sometime just to see what's out there! View my complete profile.

It's Not What You Think. Being one with the universe creates chaos; random thoughts spill forth. When the big box of food arrived at the door it was a little like Christmas. I tore open the top and excitedly looked down onto the pile of small cardboard boxes that would be my meat-and-potatoes for the next thirty days.
