As you can see, this d...

A Cookable Feast - Unfancy Forays into Whole-Foods-Focused Eating

Cheesy Mexican Quinoa Bake. Because I couldn’t stop with last week’s Cheesy Cauliflower Spinach Quinoa Pesto Bake. Today we have: another quinoa casserole! My philosophy is to include processed foods not as a staple of my diet, but as a sporadic indulgence (I. Have a fondness for Cheetos, for instance, but I don’t keep them in the house. However, I’ll gobble them at every barbeque and birthday party they’re set out at). Cheesy Cauliflower Spinach Quinoa Pesto Bake. Crushed Red Lentil Soup. Seriously, thi...

A Cook and her Windowsill

A Cook and her Windowsill. Tales of windowsill vegetable gardening and a tasty meal or two. Monday, 25 March 2013. We've put a birdbox up in the garden! As the garden is quite dinky the only suitable place to put it was at the end of the wall that runs down the side passage. I'm a little concerned that it might be too close to the path and where we're coming and going but we decided to give it a go and see whether it works. Fingers crossed we get an inhabitant! Saturday, 23 March 2013. First seeds of 2013.
