The quest for the perfect race. Friday, April 22, 2011. Taper is well underway, race it 9 days out and now it's time to set things right for the big day. Bike in for service. Check. Customary race haircut.Check. Mind prep.Getting there. The training is there, the nutrition hopefully sorted, race plan there and thoughts of the final 400m with the music blasting and the crowds cheering loud and the announcer shouting out 'YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!
