I cried because it is so important to me that Obama wins. And this is why:. They were not arrested. Visual memes flooded the internet when our governor, Bob McDonnell, ...

Shade of the Union. January 21, 2015. It’s 2015. New year, new you, new State of the Union, new shade of Boehner, new Congress, new political era? President Obama’s State of the Union address, the sixth he has delivered since being inaugurated exactly six years ago last night, was his most progressive yet. We are now witnessing the era of activist Obama, with two elections under his belt (because he won both of ‘em! Zap) and no patience for a gridlocked and do-nothing Congress. Goodbye To All That, Revisited | Onward and F-Word

Goodbye To All That, Revisited. April 27, 2016. Close to a year ago, I bid. Where is there more truth and justice than the city that birthed the Stonewall riots, where Malcolm X laid some of his roots and where so many socio-political movements matured? I left New York wanting to know if there was more but as it turns out, there’s even less than what I had before. Here’s to two more years of this mess and New York being there when I’m done.
