Life's a beach ... in the desert: April 2008
http://azbrannocks.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Life's a beach . in the desert. Sunday, April 27, 2008. My very own emmy. On Saturday morning when I checked my work e-mail on my Treo, I was greeted with some amazing news: I had been awarded a Copper Quill! For those not in the PR world, this is kind of like our "Emmys" or "Oscars" - but for public relations "flaks" who execute a winning campaign for a client. It's an amazing honor. I am so happy for both of us! What a great start to the work-week! Lemon custard with sponge cake and berries). I also wa...

I couldn't have asked for a better experience! No tears, hooray! Neither of us misses the East Coast weather at all! We got in some good friend time! Five years, already? The love of my life.

Life's a beach ... in the desert: January 2008
http://azbrannocks.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Life's a beach . in the desert. Monday, January 28, 2008. With the promise of rain in the forecast for the weekend, we decided to get in as much "activity" on Saturday, the non-rain day. I met up with my friend Leticia for coffee (decaf, of course). She is due any day now and I wanted to spend a little time with her before things got too crazy with the new baby. She looked wonderful and so comfy in her fleece sweatpants, and I couldn't help b. On Sunday, Ross surprised us by letting us know that he, Kris...

http://azbrannocks.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Life's a beach . in the desert. Wednesday, June 25, 2008. It has been a while since my last post, so I wanted to give everyone some updates on what has been going on for the past couple weeks:. Harrison is doing great! He is quite a tank, weighing in at over 12 pounds already. Most importantly (to me, anyway), he is a great sleeper. He's already sleeping 7-8 hours a night (this morning he slept in until 6:40! But I'm enjoying it. Thanks Mom and Dad! Which we affectionately call the baby SUV. A week later...

Life's a beach ... in the desert: five years
http://azbrannocks.blogspot.com/2008/11/five-years.html
Life's a beach . in the desert. Sunday, November 9, 2008. While on vacation, Mike and I celebrated our fifth anniversary. Who would have thought five years ago (much less eight years ago, when we started dating) that today we'd be living 2,500 miles away in a city Mike had never visited until he met me, that we'd have a lovely house, two glorious children (most of the time! And luckily - thankfully, these days - pretty great jobs. Or that we'd be able to wear flip-flops on Christmas :-). Some like it hot.

Life's a beach ... in the desert: March 2008
http://azbrannocks.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Life's a beach . in the desert. Thursday, March 27, 2008. Restoring our holy mojo. At some point during the removal of all the rocks in our front yard to make way for new landscaping, the guys came across a small religious figurine buried in the yard. We didn't know who the figurine was supposed to be - was it Jesus? So we took a pic and sent it to our very own knower of all things religion, Mike's sister Anne. What is wrong with people? A woman in Kentucky shot her two kids to death. A bank executive un...
