Photos by Alan Macek. In July 2008, I flew to New York City for a few days to visit the city for the first time and to attend a conference for work. On Sunday, I visited Central Park with my friend Kathryn. We got lost and dodged rain storms but made it across the park to the Guggenheim Museum. After lunch in the cafeteria we explored the works of Louise Bourgeois which were on display at the Gugenheim and had fun 'interpreting' what they meant. The Lake' in Central Park. Is a pass through the Rocky Mountains. Both the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Transcanada Highway use the pass. From the pass, the Kicking Horse River flows west, joining the Columbia River at Golden, and the Bow River flows east past Calgary, eventually forming the South Saskatchewan River when it joins the Oldman River.
