A Quick And Easy Spring Chicken Pasta Dish. 2 Chicken Breasts - skin removed and cubed. 1 onion finely chopped or a leek. 8 chestnut mushrooms, sliced. 1 bunch of asparagus trimmed. Knob of butter and a little olive oil. A few sage leaves chopped. 1 small handful of frozen (or fresh) peas. 1 clove garlic crushed. Splash of white wine (optional). 1 tablespoon of plain flour. Last night we had a simple roast leg of lamb (the freezer was full and the lamb wouldn't fit) with some of the vegetables from the garden. Tonight I fancied something different rather than a straightforward salad. 3-4 medium potatoes, peeled, boiled and riced. It's cold still and we needed something warming inside us - Liz after a hard day at work me just from popping down the shed to feed the garden birds! Serves two or three. Sunday, August 4, 2013. Shrimp and Garlic Pasta. Do you ever get cravings that you just can't explain? Yeah, me too. I think all foodies go through it in different ways. Last week, my soul was crying out for shrimp and garlic. I also really really wanted some parmesan cheese, so that means pasta. I've had a glass of wine tonight, so please understand that in the Directions section I'm assuming you know how to cook. Whole wheat spaghetti (I don't use any other kind these days), enough for two people.
