Reel Fishing: July 2014
http://reelfishinguks.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 15 July 2014. I decided that I would knock Sam a couple of lures up and invite him out with me on my boat to some of the areas that I have found productive. Here is one of the lures that I made for him:-. This one is a surface lure, he seemed really pleased with it and I hope it brings him some good luck. We started off in a small bay, with absolutely no success. So after half an hour or so we decided to move on, after a while Sam asked his usual "are you confident? Wednesday, 9 July 2014. This ...

River Piker: Fox easy twist trace wire - trace making PART 2
http://riverpiker.blogspot.com/2013/04/fox-easy-twist-trace-wire-trace-making.html
Monday, 8 April 2013. Fox easy twist trace wire - trace making PART 2. Watch the video for a better understanding of how to make a wire trace using Fox easy twist wire. I was meant to do this some time ago but it slipped my mind. I previously chucked up a quick post. Make a loop in the wire and thread it through the eye of the swivel. Push the swivel back through the loop and pull tight. Try to keep this neat and tight for better presentation and finish. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Red Two: Part 3.

River Piker: Reservoir blogs
http://riverpiker.blogspot.com/2012/12/reservoir-blogs.html
Sunday, 2 December 2012. I'm kind of confused as to how I feel right now. I'm not disappointed, because I didn't target a monster, knew it would be very tough and the result was what I predicted. Any fish, any fish, would. Have been a bonus. But days before I was already finding myself thinking, "what if? I've not fished Chew, the more famous big pike venue, but would guess that this is what many go through over and over again. In fact a couple of mates have just come back from there this week and I ...

River Piker: Re-weighting Squirrely Burts
http://riverpiker.blogspot.com/2014/08/re-weighting-squirrelly-burts.html
Monday, 25 August 2014. A couple of new Burts have arrived, thanks to Lure Lounge. That's it, your Burts are now super fish catching lures. I know a few people who don't always get on with them and can't catch a pike. I promise you if you follow this guide your Burt will catch pike. That downward stroke followed by a pause, however long or short you want, will trigger a fish at some point. 20 February 2016 at 19:28. Nice post. Different lure with some weight in the head. 20 February 2016 at 21:08. Anothe...

Sunday, 28 December 2014. Got out today to try out the rod Ive been modifying and mentioned previously. The rod is a savagear butch light 50-80g 8'6" and i wanted a longer handle as i have long arms and wanted the butt to rest along side my ribs and not the butt end digging into them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I live in Yorkshire and spend most of my free time either fishing lures or flies and when im not doing that im building lures and tying flies. THE SEARCH FOR PERCH !: Between the cloudbursts
http://incompletedangler.blogspot.com/2012/07/between-cloudbursts.html
THE SEARCH FOR PERCH! An account of my lure fishing escapades seeking the elusive perch in the muddy Medway! Monday, 9 July 2012. I love it when a plan comes together,. The other week I spotted a pike in my local chalk stream ,. That I estimated to be about 7/8lb ,. Not that big , but in this small stream he or she is probably the king or queen of the stream. I have not seen any bigger. I have attempted to catch this fish on a couple of occasions,. I have almost bounced lures on top of its head,. Finally...
