Monday, August 11, 2014. Sunday-6 miles from home to the beach. Shara left about 5 to 6 minutes before me down to the beach. Without her knowing, I set out to catch her before I hit the Westerly Town Beach.no luck. As a matter of fact, she continued on after reaching to the beach to run about 9 miles. Pace about 6:15/mile. Monday-am: 25 minute core sequence with my cousin, Pat. Pushups, planks, body weight squats, etc. 1 mile ocean swim with Shara. 45 mile solo run late in the afternoon. You are an animal.

Sunday, July 26, 2015. The Fat Clam Sprint Triathlon. July 25, 2015. Swim-10:46, Rank 34. As I lined up for the swim, I tried to plan out the path I wanted to take. I took a look at the way the current was flowing, proximity of the buoys, and sized up my competition. Go Time! Side note: Not wearing the wetsuit was a big mistake. I also wonder if the my tri shirt created some extra drag (I could definitely feel water entering the shirt). Lesson learned. Fastest ever since I didn't have to drop the wetsuit.
