The exciting tales of sonja as she discovers what it means to be scottish. Yeah, i know it's been forever and a day. i'm now back at whitman, far, far away from st andy's and scotland. I didn't want to end on a depressing note, so i figured i'd write a little summary/update about what i did after spring break, with select photos. Really fun things (in semi-chronological order):. 3 hanging out with shelby and devin, who came for a visit - we went to edinburgh, hung out at st andy's and stayed up all night...

The train to meteora was stunning, as was meteora itself. hands down definitely worth all the hassle. Since we got there in the afternoon, we decided to hike up the trail and investigate, though we were fairly sure that the closest monasteries were closed. we hiked up this amazing path, walking in between the amazing rocks. Our uni travel service decided to be wonderful and schedule another haggis tour leaving directly from st andy's - this time for 3 days! So i've realized through talking to people that some things i've gotten used to around here are absurd from the american perspective. some of them have to do with st andy's, some are scotland and/or the UK in general.and they're not in any order at all.
