Backboard or Flat - Please place your patient on a backboard or flat to assist with movement into the aircraft. This will save us the most time in getting off scene! Traction Splints can fit if they don't extend beyond the backboard. Please attempt to have the patient stripped, covered, and protected from the elements. No loose articles. Secure any IV's and tubes to avoid dislodgement with loading. No IV poles, please. Stretchers and gurneys should remain secure on the perimeter of the landing zone.
