author: Politicizing Texts
http://cigarettesandpeppermint.blogspot.com/2008/04/politicizing-texts.html
Tuesday, April 29, 2008. I'm not sure what the post is for this week, but a few students have posted. So I'm just going to talk about a couple of the articles.). http://makingworlds.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
A blog designed to explore authorship and world making. Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Authorship and Favorite Authors. The Temple of My Familiar.

Bridging the oral-visual divide. Implications of multimedia and multimodal communication in a new age. Meanwhile, the account of the romance publishing industry present another look at the tension and negotiation of power between the authors named on the book and the editors and publishers that could be considered first readers of a work. Like the fan productions cited in Jenkins' books Cultural Convergence and Textual Poachers, these tensions and alternate readings of a text have always existed. That we...

author: Fandom
http://cigarettesandpeppermint.blogspot.com/2008/04/fandom.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Some theorists, like Barthes, have proposed that the audience is an author because they make. Of a story the way they want to and can do. But, yet we sometimes look at fandom as an unacceptable embrace of audience as author because they are "messing with" the original text. But, in their interaction with the text they are making not only meaning but additional textual material and expanded narratives, allowing them to be authors because of. Did tools change what Art is? Acade...
