Beginning to see what some of the fuss is about. Went to see the Haruru Falls driving by a golf course with views to die for. Then on to Paihia. We caught the ferry across the bay to Russell so we could drive the Russell road south. Well worth it, but slow going in a camper… stopped to snag one of those classic views. Saturday, August 6, 2011. Sweet Gran Hollowell passed away this week. Gran Hollowell was so kind to me. While Raymond and I were engaged Gran would send me regular letters and emails. She was contstantly showering me with gifts and made me feel so welcome in a new family.
