In the life of Valerie Petrovna: a sporadic update of Valerie's life and thoughts and travels for those who know her. Friday, June 5, 2009. 4:00 am. Buzz. Alarm. My mind quickly and sleepily "justifies" hitting snooze. 4:15 am. Buzz. Second alarm. Similar thin justification. 4:30 am. Buzz. Repeat above. 4:40 am. Buzz. Alarm. The realization that if I do not get up RIGHT NOW I will not be able to take my shower, and will feel gross the entire day penetrates my foggy mind. Links to this post. What I obsess...

http://knightsinappledore.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 22, 2009. Responding to the news, Patrick J. Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition told LifeNews.com that Obama's making taxpayers fund abortion takes away from his claims to want to govern from the center and find common ground on abortion. Mahoney said "it would greatly increase abortions around the world. It would also create a scenario in which American evangelicals and Catholics would be paying for abortion referrals through their tax dollars.". I am not sure.). I honestly don...

http://knightsinappledore.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 18, 2008. I'm back from Germany! Just a few notes, because life is short. 1) In Germany, people don't cross when the crosswalk light is red- even if there are no cars. I suspect this is a metaphor for all of German culture, although the Germans were somewhat dismissive of the phenomena. 2)The Dom in Bamberg(? Is currently my favorite church building ever. 3)It was lovely to see Eugene people again, even for a couple days. 4) Trollywood. Eisley. That's all for now. Four Years or so.

the Trespasser's Pilgrimage: Wedding Season...
http://trespasserspilgrimage.blogspot.com/2009/07/wedding-season.html
Yes, we're smack-dab in the middle of that white-wearing, goblet-crushing, rice-slinging season of love. I have to say, if all matrimonial services were as exuberant as this couple's appears to be, I'd take a cue from Vaughn and Wilson and find a new weekend hobby. This is too adorable to be buried in my twitter or tumblr list, so here you are. That is sooo cute! I REALLY liked that! What I find remarkable is that I (who hardly ever see YouTube) had seen this dance just a few days ago. And it was not...
