katie loves haiti: Smelly Feet
http://katieloveshaiti.blogspot.com/2015/02/smelly-feet.html
Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Last year, I had a student named David in my class. He was and continues to be the class clown, often disrupting lessons with his antics. For example, one day when he noticed a preschooler getting attention because he had peed his pants, David announced to all his friends: look I'm going to pee myself too.and he did! There is no limit to what this boy will do to get a laugh. My feet smell terrible! They smell all day long! I wrote a song about it: wow! So, I grabbed a paper a...

My Journey Toward Haiti: July 2011
http://charlenejane-myjourneytowardhaiti.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
My Journey Toward Haiti. Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Those of you who told me the hardest part of my trip would be leaving to come home were absolutely right. Saying goodbye to my new friends (the volunteers and staff), and especially to the babies, was very emotional. I will no doubt write more on this later, when I am better rested. I'll also post some pictures of the route from GLA to the Port-au-Prince airport. I am so thankful for an amazing experience in Haiti, and also thankful to be home. Although I...

Will you give me your lunch? What I thought of Haiti–by Luke →. February 26, 2015 · 6:50 pm. A day at the beach sure is fun and doesn’t seem like serving. Even today, looking at some of the pictures we took from that day, reminded me of the service this day really involved. The swim-able “public” beaches charge a fee and the bus ride up the coast is too costly. These kids are receiving sponsorship just to afford school. What a joy it was to be part of an experience in which Haitian youth could marvel at ...
