A prairie life

Sunday, January 27, 2008. Winter hath come, gosh darn. Well, Malia and I decided we needed to. Post again. It's been a while, and I'm sure you are all wondering what we've been up to. What have we been up to? Here are me and Mom hiking in California. More on that in a minute. I'm too frustrated with the limitations of this program to get perfectionistic about my post, so it's just going to have to be a little disorganized. Go ahead, I'll look forward to that conversation. . . . Malia started basketball a...

http://www.aprairielife.blogspot.com/2007/05/may-07.html

Monday, May 28, 2007. Welcome to the Galena gang's new blog. We hope to be able to give you a taste of our life here since. We are so far away. This picture is of the moon rising over the Cimarron National Grassland Lesser Prairie Chicken lek. Malia and Jack and Dan got up at an incredibly early hour to see these amazing birds on their spring break trip. More soon, as we find time to get this baby up and running! This is where a person could leave a comment. June 5, 2007 at 2:30 AM.

Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Here is an update on the Galena Gang - we have been having many adventures as usual. Malia and Wendy recently visited Blue Lake for Malia's fifth year of violin music camp. This picture shows the lake at the camp. Here is Malia's repertoire group playing outside in the bandshell, as many of the classes do. Malia especially enjoyed playing quartets for the first time at Blue Lake. All eleven of us shared one big happy cabin in the woods filled with. Other highlights included the ...

A prairie life: July 2007

http://www.aprairielife.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 28, 2007. Malia went on a backpacking trip to Pt. Reyes for about a week. She loved the scenery, the wildlife and the counselors. She also made some good friends while playing cards after lugging her 25 pounds of gear for miles. She even loved the food, including the fruit leather and beef jerky. Here are the girls in their tent, which she helped carry. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

New Explorations: My path has brought me back...

http://newexplorations.blogspot.com/2009/08/my-path-has-brought-me-back.html

To Explore and never take for granted all there is to do in this New space we call Home. Monday, August 10, 2009. My path has brought me back. Soit's been awhile and this will be my rusty attempt at coming back.we shall see just how it goes. Exploring my thoughts and experiences is something I have spent a lifetime at. I spend much of my day wondering why? So the journey began and life flowed while I sat back and examined it all. Wow! Amazing to see the new people we each became over the months and years.

http://newexplorations.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

To Explore and never take for granted all there is to do in this New space we call Home. Saturday, February 24, 2007. We traveled to the city to celebrate Brit's birthday with her brother. Could SF have been more perfect? We walked over campus and traveled up the many flights of stairs to see Bry's studio and the space he was now spending so much of his life. He allowed us to go through his work. The progress he has made in such a short amount of time was amazing to each of us! He beamed as he showed us ...

A Prairie Journal In Saskatchewan

A Prairie Journal In Saskatchewan. Thoughts and information on garden growing on the Canadian Prairies. Friday, March 2, 2018. Following up on seeds and stuff! Well I did a quick tour of my plants in the woodwork shop this morning and I am excited to see buds opening on my seedling Clematis crispa. The third picture is an unknown but I think likely a Clematis crispa as well. Note the little 3 leaf "weed" growing beside the Clementine. This is a seedling from the potting soil! Tuesday, September 9, 2014. God's blessed me Again. As some of you know, I have been longing for a cello for quite some time. A Beautiful cello with a flamed back. That sings with a low, vibrating voice. So I can play with Sarah on her violin. So I can play with Mom on the piano. So I can play with Sarah on her violin and Mom on the piano. So I can “jam” with friends. (is it jamming when it is more of an orchestra? To just play for myself and learn a new instrument……. Did I say for quite some time? As I ...
