In the fertility world this marks a big cut off point as to whether a fertility doc will take on an old broad like me or toss me aside with no hope. Are all getting knocked up. But I promised myself I would end this post on a positive note, as this is the new theme I am striving for. It helps that I now have 40 followers on my blog, so thanks for that symmetry! To our surprise, A. did an early beta right before Thanksgiving so we could know the good news as we stuffed our faces with turkey. Could she be more awesome? Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Much delayed baby announcement! Our baby boy arrived August 13, 2011! Sorry for the delay in posting - he was 12 days late (! And then we've been contending earthquakes and hurricanes on the East Coast! I figured you were joyously busy! Glad you are all home! We are on the East coast too. Holy Hannah, our basement STINKS! Please if possible post on what it is like for your older child. We are expecting in March and if all goes well, will have a newborn and a two year old.

That mythological bird is quite real in my world. Everything is looking good with our baby boy and A. is doing fabulous as always. Monday, July 18, 2011. Amidst this summer daze of denial, fear, shock regarding the new baby, I got a jolt from the universe to snap me out of it. The sudden shift in luck with my sister somehow was the best cure for my fear about our new baby. All that undercurrent in my heart, still asking myself, "Am I a fraud? Even though I know rationally surrogacy and egg donation don't rob me of legitimacy, I was still very much struggling with it. All the best and congratulations in advance! You are NOT A FRAUD!

Diary of a Donor Egg IVF Girl. Thursday, April 30, 2009. Last night I found blood in my urine and it sent me into complete and total panic mode. What now? My donor is scheduled to start her stimulating meds. On Monday and I'm slated to start Estrace. Next week too. The last thing I want is blood in my urine or anything else to happen here that could delay my cycle. First thing this morning I showed up at the clinic to have my RE check me out. It's a UTI. It could damaging to embryos during transfer.

Love, Cupcakes and Running. 10K Training, Week 2. Week 2 is done! I stuck a bit more to my goals, but, subbed in pilates for hot yoga. Shred it w/ weights. 5K fast, 4k slow. 78k Fast and hot. I ran my long run at noon time in 30 degree plus humidity, it was HOT, and I really need a better way to stay hydrated(I ran loops around my hood and returned to drink water from the glass I left on my door step), any suggestions? On Friday I went out for a friends birthday, look no yoga pants! 10K training, week 3.

Love, Cupcakes and Running. I know I’ve been quite. Mostly it’s the sun, can’t bear to spend precious summer moments inside attempting to write something smart and witty. I’m on track with the 10k training, getting 4-5 runs in per week including a long run, now up to 13k. Mostly I have been enjoying Toronto, there is a possibility, a real solid possibility That we may have to move. Again. At least I can still run in Vancouver. Hit the floor (10K training: Week 4). Love, Cupcakes and Running. Week one is complete! What I did was:. Very pleased with my 7K run, I ran 10 minutes walked 1 minute and was running at 6:30 min/kilometre which is a good pace for me. I did 2 run/walks with another neighbour who is training for her first 5k, we ran 90 seconds and walked 90 seconds, and while it’s not really part of my actual training, I don’t mind running with her because when we do the running portion we are running at a normal pace. 10K Training, Week 2. Love, Cupcakes and Running. Hit the floor (10K training: Week 4). Ah week 4. It’s been stinkin’ hot here with smog advisories (gross! But I did my runs. Running goals for the week were 5k, 5k and an 8K, I did 6.5K, 6k and 8.5K. Glad that I’m hitting the running goals, but sad that I’m still not making the swimming or yoga! I have been walking 5K on those days instead, but, I really think I would feel better if I got some more cross training in. And this is what I looked like after the 8.5K. Jul 05, 2011.
