Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Solar Imaging Session - May 13, 2015. The sky this morning is clear and seeing condition is fair. AR2339 Sunspot Group continues to produce flaring activities inside its core despite the fact that it had started to deteriorate a lot. The huge NE wide hedgerow prominence has grown taller and bigger as well. AR2342 Sunspot Group looks like a spider crawling on the solar surface :) Overall, a nice short imaging solar Ha imaging session nevertheless. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Saturday, May 16, 2015. Solar Imaging Session - May 16, 2015. I'm so dead tired from last night's car breakdown on the road that I still have bad mood till this morning. Nevertheless,I still use the few remaining minutes of my solar observing window to lessen my stress. The Huge Hedgerow FilaProm from yesterday had ejected out of the solar limb! It shows the Huge Hedgerow FilaProm entering the NE limb as well as showing possible ejection scenario in the hours to come. Thursday, May 14, 2015.

Buying Your First Scope  | Paper, Chalkdust and Stars

https://paperchalkdustandstars.wordpress.com/2015/06/21/buying-your-first-scope

Paper, Chalkdust and Stars. From the classroom, to the Universe. Astronomy in the Philippines. Buying Your First Scope. If truth be told, it IS the deciding factor in buying your first telescope. To simply put, if I have a billion to spend, I’d probably get the best that there is! Or just buy myself another space telescope if ground isn’t enough for me. So how much are you willing to spend? It might, to a certain degree but it would only frustrate and dampen your high for the sky. These department st...

Macro photography is the art of taking close-up shots. The kind of camera equipment you use will define how easy or tricky it is to get that perfect shot. You can practice your skills on small objects you find around the house, from sim cards to kitchen utensils. Once you get the hang of it, you can capture more interesting subjects- insects, animals, and other tiny living beings! Macro shots reveal details of a whole new universe that our eyes simply cannot grasp. Top View of Dog Tick. Estimated Body Si...

All About Me

http://www.astrophotophils.com/aboutme.html

My name is James Kevin Ty. My interests are in astronomy, photography. It was in the year 1985 that I joined the Philippine Astronomical Society. During that time, Comet Halley was around to keep us busy. It was then that I bought a 50mm f/16 refractor on an altazimuth mount and I was very excited to view the night sky. When I turned the scope to the planet Saturn, I was very delighted to see the ringed planet! During my early stage as a member of the society,. Edwin Aguirre and Imelda Joson. I set up th...

Astrophotography Review

Sunday, July 29, 2012. UPDATE: Astro-Tech AT65EDQ Astrograph. The AstroTech AT65EDQ has proven to be a popular astrograph since it's introduction. With a great combination of low cost and impressive results, AstroTech surely has a winner on their hands. The scope currently shows as backordered, but rumor has it that it will be available again 3rd quarter 2012. I own one, but have not had a chance yet to photograph through it. Soon. LightBuckets - Online Telescopes

With LightBuckets, you pay for observatory time using points. Generally speaking, each point costs one-dollar. We use points as our currency because they are easier to manage on a day-to-day basis rather than dollars and cents. You can get additional discounts by buying points in bulk. At the highest bulk point purchase discount of ten percent, your effective cost of a point will be just ninety cents. News for Sep 01, 2014. New Lower prices on every telescopes.
