Tuesday, September 17, 2013. After months of saving, April and I have decided that we will have the money to hike the AT in the spring and have purchased our (non-refundable! Plane tickets to Georgia! We've requested a reservation at the Hiker Hostel. But they won't confirm 2014 reservations until October of this year so hopefully we submitted early enough! We'll also be attempting to get our base weight for our packs down to about 20 lbs (or less if possible! Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association.

My Journey on the AT. Thursday, March 29, 2012. On my way to Springer Mountain. So here I am in the van on my way to Springer! Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Like a kid at Christmas! It's 2:30am and I can't sleep. In 90 minutes the alarm will go off. In 2 hours I will be on the road to Atlanta. It's gonna take us about 10 hours to get there.
